This story sounds harmless enough...as far as TALLtales go:
A MAN OF 'our' ACQUAINTANCE received an email from someone of his acquaintance. It was a "fun-test" ~ so taking this otherwise lovely lady at her word, I innocently took THE TEST....
THE TEST:
This had to do with choosing a letter from A through W; [harmeless enough]
Then you had to pick an animal that began with that SAME LETTER. [Again, this seemed harmless enough]
Then you had to take the LAST letter in the chosen animal's name AND think of the name of someone whose name STARTED with this same letter....[This also seemed harmless ~ harmless, but a bit POINTLESS, YET because it came from someone I loved & trusted, I persisted, trying not to think of the many things that had to be done THIS VERY DAY!!!]
THE TURNING OF THE 'screw': Then you had to look at the palm of the hand that was NOT operating the 'MOUSE'~~~AND AMAZINGLY, you would see the FIRST letter of the name of the person you had selected via some weird form of serendipity!?!
Then you were ABRUPTLY TOLD TO "GET~A~LIFE!" and occupy yourself with more "useful" pursuits!!!

INNOCENTLY~ I had followed the instructions from my LOVING friend...I chose an "M" indiscriminately, and then the animal ~ a Mastodon. Since it ended in an "N" ~ I thougt of my other loving friend~ NANCY!
IMAGINE MY SHOCK, when this man of 'our' acquaintaince actually saw on the palm of his LEFT hand the letter "N" clearly staring out at him!!! Having studied palmistry, and knowing that NORMALLY the lines in the left & right palms mirror one another, I gazed at my right palm and saw clearly - AN "M" staring out at me - an "M" as in Mastodon, PERHAPS?!?
I have no answer for this TALLtale, but I know it happened to a TALLperson - ME!!!
PERHAPS ~ it was Mother Synchronicity saying to my otherwise loving friend: BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU MAKE FUN OF, MY DEAR!!!

FOOTNOTE TO ABOVE:
I've heard rumor that your right hand is the "movement-forward" in this life of what is reflected in your left hand. (WHAT YOU CAME IN WITH.)
If this is possibly true, and my LEFT-HANDED "N" regressed to a RIGHT-HANDED "M" ~~ maybe I am SLIP-SLIDING AWAY...as in...
"Goodbye, so long, it's time to say goodnight..."
